.....March 5th 2010

I’ve been jogging regularly and I’m definitely building up my stamina. And I can’t believe how good I feel afterwards. I didn’t realise what an effect being a couch potato and smoking was having on me.

I was at Coffee@Cafe chatting to Jake when Donny’s Usain Bolt – who’s actually called Tom - came in for a bottle of water at the end of a run.

He started chatting to me and asking me how my training was going. He told me he and his friends were doing the Sport’s Relief run at the Keepmoat Stadium on March 21 and asked if I wanted to take part. I agreed… only to then find out they’re doing six miles!

I was thinking I’d have to try to find a fit body double to save face but then I discovered that you can do either a three mile or one-mile run instead. So I’m going for it!

Half of young people who smoke now will die too early because of their habit

If you smoke 20 cigarettes a day you will spend a whopping £31,025 over the next 20 years at today’s prices. Think how many other ways you could spend that hard-earned cash!

Smoking affects your appearance by making your skin age quicker than it would normally and by causing teeth staining and gum disease.
