.....August 27th 2010

I ran into Oscar in town. We were chatting and I suggested going to get a coffee but he said he was skint so I offered to buy. Anyway, we got a sofa at Starbucks and it was fun to chat on our own. I was half expecting him to start asking me questions about Amy cos he's bound to fancy her as most
lads do but he hardly mentioned her. He was interested in my photography and what subjects I'm doing at school and we talked about all sorts of stuff.

Anyway, he's left school and says he's looking for a job. I was surprised because most of the teenagers I know are planning to stay on or go to college. I mean, this time next year I'll be hopefully getting some good GCSE results and the last thing on my mind will be finishing education.

I must point out here that I don't fancy Oscar. I just think he's really nice and not like any boy that I've met before. He's not on Facebook but I've got his mobile number so hopefully I'll see him again.

Know your skin type:

Recognise your skin is unique:

/tabContent/tabOverview.php

The most serious type of skin cancer - malignant melanoma - is rising in young British people. It's the most common form of cancer in the UK among 15-34 year olds, and rates have more than doubled in the past 20 years.
Damaging your skin while young can massively increase your chance of developing skin cancer
in later life. The most important thing you can do is make sure you don't burn. Use shade, clothing and regularly apply plenty of 15+ sunscreen to protect your skin. Also don’t use sunbeds.
Skin cancer often first appears as a change in a mole or a patch of normal skin. Check your skin regularly and if you notice a change, chat to your GP.
